Car Cell Phone Holder Review

So I purchased this cell holder for my van. It came with several options for use such as a sticky and suction cup attachment for the window or dash. It included a sticky part for the windshield that is not removable like a suction cup. Its a sticky back option. And then finally there is a vent clip option.

I have had it installed about 3 weeks now and I am pretty impressed. It holds tight. I have a S23 and so its a decent sized phone and it can definately handle a bigger cellphone or even a thick case as well.  It also has an open bottom so you can use your charger while you are driving or parked.

It was very easy to use. Simple prep to clean the glass in order to keep it sticky and on the glass. I have yet to have it fall.  I have to say its one of the best I have used. Others I have tried in the past were ones that mounted to the center of the steering wheel. That was not a great design. But it was worth trying.  I tried other vent options and they do not hold heavy phones correctly. I have tried MAG connection ones and they are also not good.

This set was really amazing and I have yet to have any problems with it.

I would definately rate this one 10/10. If you need a good stable holder, this is the one and its very affordable as well.

Laptop Review HP Elitebook 850

 Hi all.

I recently received a new laptop. I needed a new one to keep up with the remote work that I do and my old one was literally 12 years old. Still running good but just slow since WIN11 takes a lot of resources in order to run. If you are interested in computers let me tell you a bit about this one.

HP Elitebook 850

So with this computer I remote into other computers to do remote assistance.

I do graphic design and I also do photo editing with zero issues. I can multitask with ease. I have multiple tabs open at all times when I am working. From my blog to my business pages. I also run my phot editing software as well and have no issues with it as well.

While this is NOT a gaming laptop it has no issues running steam games or Final Fantasy.  It is a little bit slower on resolution on these higher def games. But, even so, it can handle it.  So I am pretty impressed with the laptop as a whole.

So this being said, I am very happy with this computer. It does everything I need it to and more. The wifi is great. The speed is great. It is seamless for everything I am doing.  If you need a good general computer and dont want to break the bank. I have to recommend this one.

Bestbuy brings you NEST to connect your home to you!

Ok so this has got to be the most innovative thing I have ever used.  I received a Nest Thermostat from BestBuy and using it I was a bit confused but now I really like it.  First of all it learns my habits.  I love that it gives me the temperature outside based on my zip code as well.  I can take a glance at it and it will give me the daily update on the thermostat itself. I also no longer need to worry about batteries dying in it because this one does not require them.  Another really awesome thing is when I change the air temperature to a lower setting it tells me what time it will return it to the normal preference for the home.  It is so simple to use and because it learns, it prevents my children from  messing the temperature up and I come home to it running non stop, or being too cold, or being too hot. Also, it will tell you how long it has ran that day as well.  I am excited to see that because it means that instead of it running on autopilot like the others I have had in the past, it will run based on need and so far is only running half of the time that my old one did.  We have noticed it doesn't need to kick on nearly as much and the home is still at a very comfortable temperature.  So what is this thing? Allow me to show you!

This is how it looks when it is being used.  When no one is near it, the Nest goes dark. It senses someone near it and it will turn on and light up so you can see the temperature. When you see the leaf it means it is at a energy saving temperature.

Away mode as you can see will allow Nest to go into a temperature saving mode until you turn it back onto Home mode.  This device is going to pay for itself in the savings. The great thing about this device is you can control it from your cell phone using the Nest App.  You can learn more about it using the Fact Sheet.

Here is my thermostat and you can see just how nice it looks as well.

Nest Learning Thermostat :

• This is the new 3rd generation version, which is thinner, sleeker in design, and allows for a bigger, crisper display than the prior 2nd generation version.
• To get the most out of your Nest, connect to your existing home’s Wi Fi network and download the free app from iTunes or GooglePlay – this allow you to manage your home’s temp from your smartphone, tablet or laptop, even when you're miles away
•  Never come home to a cold house. You can easily turn down the temp when traveling, or set it to warm up your home before you come home
• You can set it to accommodate your schedule and temperature preferences
• Or, do not set preferences – within a week, the Nest learning thermostat starts programming itself. It learns your habits and adjusts automatically, regulating your home’s temperature based on your schedule
•  In independent studies, the Nest saved an average of 10-12% on heating and 15% on cooling bills.
• Nest provides your energy usage, tracking how much you've used and provides tips that will help you conserve. Make an energy-saving temperature adjustment and the Nest Leaf will notify you immediately.
• Some local utility companies offer rebates.
• Nest provides alerts and reminders for peace of mind: it monitors your heating/cooling equipment, and tells you if anything is not working correctly. You can also be alerted if your home's temperature goes above or below limits you set.
• Nest also works with Nest products, such as the Nest Cam and Protect, and other home automation devices

Also during this time, Best buy wanted to make sure we have the best internet possible and set me up with a really awesome Netgear router!  This has actually made my home more connected by alleiviating dead spots.  I had issues with my old modem/router combination. I could not stream my tv station from the Roku, or the PS3 without a lot of stopping and buffering.  I love how the new router has a dead zone terminator. I plugged it into my bedroom and since then the internet has been amazing! No more worries and all of our connected devices work wonderfully.

This router is LARGE and in charge!  It definately takes up more space then my old one but it is totally worth it because the benefits are amazing.  You can learn more about the Netgear router on the fact sheet.

There are several options to expand your home into the Nest family.  How would you like to be able to monitor your home security?  What about the ability to see what lights are on? Be able to make changes remotely?  All of this can be accomplished with Nest.  So visit your local Best buy today and check out the displays and see just what you are missing. For me, I am a fan of Nest and can not wait to add more to my home. This will save me tons of money and will pay for itself. Isnt your home worth the investment?  I think it is.

BestBuy SUHD 4K TV - Check out the Samsung SUHD Viewing Experience at Your Local Best Buy!

Best Buy has an awesome new TV to share with you all and I get to help them spread the word.  The New Samsung SUHD 4K TV brings to life the experience of anything you watch.  Its amazing quality makes the screen appear super lifelike in anything you are watching. I got to experience this awesome TV at my local Best Buy this weekend and let me tell you it is quite impressive!

I checked out what was going on in-store. My store did not have the new Jurassic World demo yet but still I got some amazing pictures. The quality is unbelievable. Check this out!

The one thing that really amazed me is that you can view this TV from any angle as you can see and the color is not distorted. I have seen in other large screen TV's that they tend to pale as you move to one side or the other. In this case I even checked ones that were much higher then myself and even from below the quality never falters.  This happens because of the all new Nano Crystal technology! The curved screen increases the depth of what you are watching make it appear more lifelike. To make it even easier to find what you enjoy watching, this is also a SmartTV.  The screen features a Peak Illuminator Pro for enhanced picture color and detail.  Improved black levels for better contrast and a greater sense of depth, 4X the resolution of HD and Smart View 2.0 that allows you to watch your TV on your mobile device.  Your media is also much faster with the Octa-Core Processor.

You may be able to see this awesome experience in a Best Buy store near you! If you want to know more Click HERE. Then visit your local Best Buy Samsung Experience Shop and see for yourself what everyone is talking about!

You can also save up to $1500 on Samsung SUHD Tvs from May 31st til June 13th!

There will be a Twitter Party hosted on June 9th by @Dodomesticdad. Join in the buzz and learn more about this awesome technology of the 4K Samsung UHD TV! You can follow it at #SUHDatBestBuy and RSVP below.

Kindle Fire HD 6 Review

I recently got a chance to review a Kindle Fire HD 6 and several books.  I was super excited about this opportunity and I am a big fan of ebooks.  Generally I read them on my computer or Ipad, or my cell phone, but the downside is sometimes those apps update and then I get a white screen and im stuck not being able to read my ebooks further.  How frustrating is that right? Well the Kindle Fire HD 6 is a power packed Ebook reader and tablet in one.  It has super fast browsing, apps, and of course the Kindle reader itself.  I love this Kindle. I can read my books, it knows where I leave off on each book unless I tell it to forget (YAY!) and I can seamlessly go back and forth to my apps like Facebook or Pinterest and then back to reading with little to no delay.  The color is vibrant. Games load super fast and it also has a nice camera. As you can see in the above images, I shot pics with and without flash so you can see just how bright and clear the display is!

I have been using this now for a week. My daughter is a huge fan of the games and I love that I have access to my entire Amazon account so all the books I have I can read and move on and off the cloud to save space on the device. Very nice!  I also purchased a case to make it nice and portable and keep it safe.

The other thing I love about this Kindle is that it is rated to withstand dropping from heights and pressure so I know this device will be around a very long time.  If you would like to get one today you can purchase one from Amazon and have it personalized for you and have your amazon account already added for you also. You can also purchase it as a gift where the reciever can add their account once they get it.  Lots of options and you will love the Silk Browser.  Super fast and will also allow FLASH. Not many tablets do that!

Do you love videos, apps, games, and more? This is definately the device for you.

Check it out and be sure to please let us know how you like the review. Also if you are an amazon user that loves Ebooks or an owner of a kindle. Tell us your thoughts.

Thank you so much.

I always dispised the poor quality of the older style videos that always fell out of focus when I would be shooting a vid. This makes this camera an even better deal!

This camera also features a 3" vari angle touch screen to simplify navigation.

What more can you ask for in a camera. The Canon Rebel T5i is sure to be the last camera you need this season. I can see it being a great memory maker for years to come.

Kiss Instawave Automatic Hair Curler - The Last Curler You will EVER Buy!

The Kiss Instawave!!!!

I love this product and it is very easy to use.  Thanks to #brandbacker I was given a chance to review this awesome new hair product!  The Kiss Instawave.  This is the first tangle free automatic curler that I have ever used. Easy to use in any hand in any direction thanks to the button that curls whichever way you prefer!  Its great for those in a rush as it also includes an automatic shutoff for 90 minutes. So if you like to rush out it will turn itself off should you forget!  This product also offers 2 heat settings, low and high and a max temp of 420 degrees.

The first thing you should know is this baby gets hot fast! It has a ceramic wand so its great on the hair and doesnt tangle. The best part is that it uses an automatic curling action in order to wind the hair for you.  It creates great curls that are tight on the high setting and losser waves/curls on the low setting.

It is important to note here that you must use this curling iron on dry hair only!!!

I know some of the other brands are ok for wet or damp but this one specifies on dry and I want to make sure you all are sure how it works and enjoy it fully!

I noticed during the first use of this product that I wasnt getting full curls BUT I figured out what I was doing wrong.  There are 4 outside fingers and one larger one that is closer to the barrel. If you are cruling away from your face make sure your hair is over the top of that barrel and that it is getting caught in the first inside finger then just let it go and hold til curl is desired tightness. It is important to note here that you want to curl from your root to get a full curl.

If you are curling towards your face you would want to have the barrel under the hair before you being the curl also again starting at the root. It will grab automatically and let it continue to catch until the full length is around the barrel. Hold for in my case 6-10 seconds and recieve gorgeous curls.

I will be posting a demo video for this product.  I have not had the time to do so yet as I need to figure out how to do it in my bathroom LOL.  But it is on its way.

Love this new product and you all should go get one today. It works better then any of the curlers I have ever used and is a bargain at Target, Ulta or Amazon. The price can't be beat for $59.99.

Can I say WOW.  5/5

Phantom Fit Reflective Ankle or Wrist Bands Review

Disclosure - I recieved these items for review purposes and this in no way changes my opinon of the product.

PhantomFit is a great brand of products that is designed to keep you safe while running, riding or exercising.  They are designed to be convienent and high quailty. I recently had a chance to try these reflective ankle bands out and the weather has been pretty awful so this was a great time to test them as visibility is worse at night and even more so when its wet!

As you can see in the image above a small amount of light makes these bands reflect quickly and it makes the light bounce around the area around them. So in essence they light you up!

Phantomfit bands are highly reflective and fit snugly and because they are velco adjustable they fit ankles, and arms.  They are also great for motocycle or scooter riders to help keep them visible in dark or bad weather conditions.  If someone needed to ride at night most people on bikes are not visible in dark conditions unless they have reflectors on the bike. Even so, they are still hard to see unless headlights hit them just right. These ankle bands would solve that issue as the light reflective surface is much larger then the tiny reflective areas on a bike. What about you runners out there?  How many of you own reflective vests for early morning or late evening running? Most don't and aren't visible to drivers unless it is right before the light hits you.  These ankle bands again would solve this issue.  Being visible in dark conditions or in bad weather is a very real problem that I have faced for years.  On both sides of the line too. Walking with kids at night and cars fly past doing 30 over the speed limit, or being the driver and not seeing someone in the road until I am almost on them. It's a dangerous world out there and Phantom Fit is there to help keep you and your family safe.

Some of the features of these bands are they are visible up to 1000 feet.  They offer 2 strips of reflective tape and are securly attached. These bands also use velcro to keep them on and so they dont move around. No need for batteries to been used like some of the other brands out there.  Since they go on normal areas of wear, it is easier to know you are a person when seen in the dark.  Also these bands can be worn on arms as well as long as the area is 10 inches or wider.

These ankle straps will be the last item you would need to aid in your workout endevours.  You should try them today.  You can purchase the reflective ankle bands here.

Sterishoe 2.0 Is on Kickstarter!

How many of you remember my blog review of the origional Sterishoe?  Read about it if you haven't and come back to see what is new with the Sterishoe 2.0.

Well it's back and even better with a new concept for the 2.0 version. Come watch the video below and get excited!

I love the new design. And it looks like it would be more universal for all kinds of different shoe styles then the origional version.  Much more compact and still as great of a working machine.  It also works faster and dries shoes out in the process of sanitizing them as well. It also is a One-size-fits-all version so no more having to purchase it in near to shoe sizes so it can be used for more then one person!  I am stoked and can't wait to see the new ones in action. I love the origional product and use it and would definately use this as well! And think of all your friends that work on thier feet all day. These would make a great gift to keep all those shoes clean and fungus, germ, and bacteria free!

I love how this product takes away from having to "wash" shoes and worry about them being destroyed during the process your washing machine and dryer does to them.

Here is your one and only solution to the "stink shoe" problem EVERYONE faces in their daily lives!

The idea behind the Sterishoe is that you place it in  your shoes and turn it on and the UV C lights kill up to 99.99% of bacteria and microorganisms that live in our shoes after a hard days work, walking or sweating.  You can be part of this great new product by visiting their Kickstarter page and donating as little as $1 to help them back this new product.
