Hey guys. I have been on Instagram recently and I keep getting offers from random jewelry businesses. They claim that if I pay the first time shipping on items that I will get FREE items after the fact over and over again.
Here is my issue with this.
How do 4 different jewelry companies all have the same business model?
I am told the are "vetting" people with the whole pay shipping the first time.
But again I have yet another issue with that statement. As you can see I have an established blog here full of reviews. So, if I were not a legit reviewer, why would I share this platform?
I am told each sale from my affiliate link is $20. This is the same on all 4 jewelry sites that have approached me.
The shipping is atrocious as well. So, I have my reservations. As I also design and sell jewelry I understand how weight has a factor on price but, If i can send heavy stone and silver jewelry worldwide for less then they can ship one lightweight item, I am very suspicious.
Aside from 1, they are dodgy about the materials that the jewelry is made out of. I am very transparent in things I make on my Jtcreationz page. It's really not that hard to answer a simple question. I have metal allergies to nickel. I cannot wear plated jewelry at all as my skin is so acidic it literally destroys the plating. This is even the issue on my white gold jewelry and often I have to have it serviced multiple times a year as my skin takes the rhodium plating that keeps white gold white off it with daily wear.
So, dear readers... have any of you been approached by jewelry companies and had a good experience?
If you have please comment below. If you have had a poor experience or recieved sub par items I'd really appreciate the feedback on who it was with. I would love to promote good fine jewelry, however, I do not promote items that will turn you colors or just literally are no good in the long run. I do not like when a company claims Fine Jewelry and it ends up being plated with some kind of zinc, brass, or copper core. Plating doesn't last long term on most people especially if you wear your jewelry daily, or in the shower like I do.
So anyhow, If you are interested in who has been messaging me, please comment. I will be happy to share this info if it means I find out one way or another if they are legit or scammers. I want to prevent people from being taken advantage of. If they are legit, then I am interested in checking things out.
