Deadly Sins - Arc Book Review - Amber Allee

 Book 2

Smoking HOT!

If you had not read the first book Deady Wars, you are missing out. I am not usually a huge fan of motorcycle romance, but, these stories are so well written that they keep you on your toes.

Book 2 is the story of Havoc and Sutton.

Havoc made a sad first impression in the first book. IYKYK, and in this book he takes a huge turn and you grow to like him more. Sutton was was super religious and so this whole change of things. Since he had a failed marriage and she was promised to a man that was involved in illegal activities she grows affection for Havoc and they start to bond more.

Havoc wants to save her from this whole mess. With her dads church being a cult and the main attachment to the man she was promised to, it puts her in a strange and not good situation. I mean would you want to be in this type of situation and feeling like you have some kind of duty to your family and church but know this isn't where you want to be?

A one night stand turns into so much more. I will leave the links to both books below! Please check them out. These are fast paced and hard to put down. So get a cup of your favorite beverage and get ready to lock into and not be able to stop reading!

I did receive this as an ARC. This is my true opinion and I cannot wait til book 3! Check out her linktree for other series by Amber!

Deadly Wars - By Amber Allee - Book Review

Hi everyone!

Amber Allee Author

I recently go a chance to read Deadly Wars!

This book is pretty intense. The main character is a major badass boss. He's the President of a Motorcycle club.. Stone is the ruler of the roost. So he calls all the shots. People come to him if they are on the run and he gives them jobs working for him as maids or other services in order for them to stay safe.

He is a very touch her and die kinda guy. Fiercly protective and stands up for his troupe and family and relationships.

Reagan has come back to town. She thought things would be different and meets Stone. She has a clear mind and speaks it very well. She also is full of piss and vinegar. Shes a very FAFO type of woman and I think that is what the main appeal to Stone is of her.

I don't want to let too much out but I will say this. The chemistry is intense as is the story. You will be hooked into it from about page 3 and not want to put it down. If you like MC romance. If you like serious alpha male men and women that can kick ass you will love this combo.

Don't gatekeep on this author!

For Whom The Belle Tolls - Book Review

Jaysea Lynn

So this book has been a hit!

Have you ever seen Hell's Belles on tiktok? This book is the prequel to those skits and videos by Jaysea!

You can purchase it here

If you have Tiktok, you can find her there at Hells Belles

So about the book!!!

It is a romantasy between Lily and Bel. Lily makes a Hellp Desk and starts helping souls in hell. This story touches on some different and deep topics. Pay attention to triggers. This book is very well written. You will want to devour it. It covers found family, religious trauma and much more.

Lily passes into the afterlife and gets her paradise but becomes drawn to hell. She goes wandering and goes down to Hell and decided to help.  She decided to take all her customer service experience and help assist souls to where they need to go. This includes all the different levels of the afterlife and all the different religions. The hellp desk is for helping put the souls in Hell to their respective levels of hell. She enjoys this because she can treat the souls terribly like how she was treated in her lifetime after years of customer service. One day at the Hellp desk a little girl comes down after she passes and believes she deserves hell after religious trauma. Lily adopts her and slowly makes her feel like she has a place to belong.  There are monsters from other realms trying to take over hell because their world is dying.

Lots of sarcasm and sass. It's a must read that you won't want to put down.

Bring tissues, because you will need them!

There are Lily and Bel as one budding romance and near the end enters Penny who will be the main character for book 2.

The book takes place before Jayseas Hells Belles series on TikTok that is linked above. If you want to get an idea of why this book is so hot...go check out the hells belles series too. It is also on youtube - Jaysea Lynn.

Authors That I Am Checking Out Adult Reads

Books For the Fantasy Lover Ladies

So I recently got into a fantasy romance reading jump over the last few years.  Some of the authors I have started to read are as follows.

1. Amelia Hutchins - I have yet to find a book that I do not like by her. Fair warning her books are not for under 18.  The storylines are fantastic and the sex scenes are pretty explicit so that is why I say the age needs to be above 18.

2. Sydne Addae - Her stories are about wolf nation and take you into werewolf life and intimacy with thier own kind as well as women that are made for them but aren't wolves themselves.  Great shorter stories. Great intimacy scenes. I also say above 18 for these books as well.

3. Sarah J Maas - ACOTAR series is where I am at so far. The first 2 books are good. I haven't currently read anything that would scream they need to be above 18 to read as of yet. I want to get her Throne of Glass series too when I get caught up on some of the other books I have yet to read.

Books for the Fantasy Lover Hubby's

My hubby has been reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. These are by Matt Dinniman.  So if you have a man that likes to read and enjoys DND, these are the books to get him.

My hubby also decided to try Cat Girls From Outer Space. Edie Sky and Jacob Holo are the authors.

Another good one for anyone to read is called For Whom The Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn.  This book is  about a woman named Lilly that dies and the afterlife is all the afterlifes from all the different legends and things and its all connected. She ends up in paradise and ends up visiting hell and starts the help desk to help get the dead people in hell to go where they belong. She meets a prince of hell while shes down there and a war breaks out...There is lots of romance and a friends to lovers story. IT also has a bit of found family.  Really great book and shes on Tiktok as well. Look up Hells Belles.

Anyhow, these are the current reads going on in my books.

What it's about.

Arianna Cruz has spent her life surviving.
Born into chaos, shaped by trauma, and haunted by demons she never asked for, Ari's world is one of shadows—until she builds a fragile version of peace: a stable job, three beautiful children, and a fiancé who offers safety, if not passion. But even on her best days, the ghosts of her past are never far behind.
Then comes Elías Rivera.
Mysterious. Dangerous. Magnetic.
One encounter with him threatens to ignite every part of her she’s buried—her fire, her desire, her rage. As secrets unfold and old enemies resurface, Ari finds herself spiraling into a world where pain and pleasure blur… and survival isn’t enough anymore.
When a chilling message forces Ari to confront the monster from her past, she does more than fight back—she takes control. With Elías by her side, the lines between vengeance and intimacy burn away, leaving behind only truth, heat, and reckoning.
But when you're born from the ashes, how do you know which fire will save you—and which one will destroy everything you've built?
Ashes of Her is the first in a gripping series that explores the raw beauty of survival, the seduction of power, and a love story forged in darkness.

My Review

Ari is a strong woman that has been through hell and still comes out on top. She is triggered and she is a fierce mother. She is a wild lover that knows what she wants and isn't afraid to see where things go with her choices. She is split between 2 lovers. She shoots straight from the hip. While I love this book so much. By the end of it I kinda want to hate Ari. But at the same time I have to give her credit for always doing what she sees as right for her.  I can step into her shoes and understand how sometimes one can dissasociate when you have alot on your mind. Sometimes its a smell or sound that takes you back.

The sexual scenes in this book is not deep or smutty. I find it very classy and more implied then detailed. So that makes this book easier for older teen readers. Not explicit to where I would recommend it to only adults.  This book is raw and real and pulls you in with every chapter.

As a mom that has also been through my share of hell I can completely relate to her. I want to just hold her and be like we do heal. But in our own ways and not in a fast manner. I cannot wait to read more books from Kayla.

Bliss Dealer - Book Review

Bliss dealer is a different take on human trafficking. The way the general public sees trafficking is people are kidnapped and then sold into sex slavery. In this story, the way things happen are totally different.  Nicole is being paid to marry a man. He will be chosen carefully and her family will be paid handsomely for her to be married. Dingo takes Nicole and begins to coach her for 3 months on how to be the best wife and companion she can be. Her teachers take time to hear her take on what shes learn
ed and also to see what she thinks on her own about what a man would want in a potential wife.  What Dingo doesnt know is there is a secret about Nicole that the filipino knew about before choosing her. Her secret stays that way until a Special Agent tries to get Dingo to go to jail for his trafficking. There is a love story built into this complex book. It is worth the read to see what all you can learn about the behind the scenes of in effect a mail order bride. Where would you stand after reading this book? Do you think you would be ok with this form of trafficking or would you still throw it in the same category of sex trafficking, I would love to hear your thoughts on this book in the comments!

You can purchase Bliss Dealer yourself on Amazon here.

Their Name Is Today Giveaway

Despite a perfect storm of hostile forces that threaten to deny children a healthy, happy childhood, courageous parents and teachers can turn the tide. Yes, we can reclaim childhood, says Johann Christoph Arnold, whose books have helped more than a million readers through the challenges of education and family life. In Their Name Is Today, he highlights drastic changes in the way our society treats children. But he also brings together the voices of dedicated parents and educators who are finding creative ways to give children the time and space they need to grow. Cutting through the noise of conflicting opinions, Arnold takes us to the heart of education and parenting by defending every child’s right to the joy and wonder of childhood.

Books like these make adults come to terms with how people view children. It shows how what we do can affect little lives and we must be on top of how we act around children. This book is a good one.

Secrets to a Pain Free Life Book Review

The book "Secrets to a Pain Free Life"  by Dr Ghorbani was helpful and interesting for those that want to learn about natural pain relief and other homeopathic ways of relieving stress and pain. It was a slow read as there is lots of really good information inside it.  I kept reading it even though some parts of it can be kind of long winded and it reads more like a documentary then a story book so some may not have the patience to read thru it. However, if you are like me with medical issues and want to learn this is the book for you!

Did you know that changing the way you eat can directly effect your pain levels? Some foods can be real bad for arthritis and lupus and other inflammatory diseases.  It speaks of how certain foods can help with lowering inflammation in the joints. Or how gluten can cause intestinal swelling.  About half of this book includes herbs and recipies to help with naturally reducing pain and he explains ways to manage it that most people would not even think of as treatments.

"Secrets to a Pain Free Life",  is definatly worth the read and I think it would come in handy for those of us with issues.  This will give you ideas for treatment on the natural spectrum to help with pain vs grabbing a bottle of pain relievers.

I rate it 5/5 and it will be a great resource to any bookshelf!

The Essential Gluten Free Grocery Guide 5th Edition Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Do you have celiac disease, gluten intolerance or other allergies?  This is the book for you!

Follow them on Twitter

This book is awesome. I opened it expecting to see things like what NOT to buy and such and got a totally different experience. I was able to look up my favorite brands and this book will tell you if the company is certified gluten free, and if not what products they offer that are. It also tells you which ones are known to be completely gluten free with easy to use keysigns through out the book.

I love that because now, I can make my shopping lists and not have to worry that something that is supposed to be Gluten free might have hidden sources of gluten in it.  This is especially important for me because I have lupus as well as celiac disease and so I have to watch that I don't get glutened through cross contamination as well as through what I buy to make for my family.

If you have problems locating gluten free products this book will not only get you in the right direction but it will help you create a shopping list where you can mark brands to look for.  For me it was a win/win.

I love this book and it will be a part of every food shopping experience from now on. IF you are on a gluten free diet or need to be this is the book to take away the mystery of that gluten free food finding.

My first year as a gluten free eater I felt like I was starving because you never know what kind of junk is hidden in your food. This book is great and I wish I had found it sooner!

5/5 for the WIN!

How to become fluent in spanish review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

John Del Gaudio

How to become fluent in Spanish is an interesting book.  It takes a new focus on learning a new language that makes it near impossible to forget.  After reading this book, I could see how they would be correct with how the techniques used would work.

I learned Spanish thru immersion when I was young.  I used to speak it everyday, but as I got older and moved away from NJ, I lost a lot of it because I was not using it.  So the phrase "if you don't us it, you lose it" for me was accurate.  I could remember the conversational Spanish.  I could remember common phrases and I can read and translate books in Spanish pretty accurately.  But when someone that fluently speaks Spanish to me speaks way too fast, I am lost.

This book tells of a personal technique using lists to learn the base words and meanings in a way you can not forget them.  It is very helpful if Spanish is not your first language and you want to be able to learn it well.

I highly suggest this book for those that go on mission trips, like to travel to Latin countries, or that want to be able to communicate with the Spanish speaking people in your area.  You can purchase this book online.

I rate it 5/5.

He also offers another book called 365 Days of Training for use with How to become fluent in Spanish. I suggest them together and hope you enjoy the books!

I feel that the answer to how the author learned Spanish is very accurate and very smart.  I think it would be helpful for those really struggling with this.

Expert Guide to Home Organizing Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

The Expert Guide to Home Organizing is a very interesting book. It shares many great options for making your clutter and chaos into blissful organization!  I myself work from home as many of my readers will know and I blog, I am a stay at home mom as well as own my own business designing jewelry. YES it can be QUITE the mess!  Curious what I am talking about? I should paint a picture of the daily delimma I face as I work in my kitchen. I have 3 children and let me tell you when they are hungry it is into the work area they come and I have to hurry and make room for everyone to sit down. I have solved this issue for the moment by bringing in a card table to place my active work area onto for the moment.

That doesnt fully solve the problem. But after reading thru this book, I have several good ideas for decluttering and making it easier for me to mask my work area and also make it more organized. I just need a few more things to make it easier to work with.

The first thing I plan on doing is making a worktable that has shelves that makes my materials easier to access, I also plan on getting some of the  canvas baskets for my tools. I want to create a cabinet space that I can put my larger pieces into and that would hide things like my heat safe area for torching and i could use different things to mount my hand tools like torch, and rotary to the inside of the cabinet door. So I took a lot away from this book.

For instance when you are decluttering an area you should have 3 areas.

*below is taken from the book*
There are three questions you need to ask yourself: Do I use it? Do I need it? Do I love it? If you answered "NO" to any of these questions, the item needs to go. As you are going through your items, you have three piles to choose from: Keep, Sell/ Donate, and Toss. Once an item is in a pile, it stays in that pile!

Jones, Rhiana (2013-10-18). Expert Guide to Home Organizing (Expert Guides) (Kindle Locations 177-179). RLJ Publishing. Kindle Edition.

I love this quote because its very true. I have tried this before and it helped us get rid of lots of other stuff we hadn't used. I also tend to use this other idea. If you havent touched it in over 6 months its not worth keeping and at the point we see if its broken, then it gets tossed, or if its in good condition it gets donated. Usually to our yearly church garage sale.  That being said the skills I had before are more now with the help of this book. I highly recommend it to any moms that are frazzled with trying to the clutter cleaned up!  Check out the book and I believe you will get some very great info out of it as well.

I rate it a 5/5 and would recommend to anyone that needs a lil help in the organizing area!

Feather On the Breath of Ellulianaen Book Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Feather On the Breath of Ellulianaen Book Review
by

Robert Denethon

This book is an adventure.  Gryphons work out deal with tavern owners to get mead in exchange for 2 goats every month. These same Gryphons turn from thier historical distrust of humans and become friends with the Tavern Mistress because she in turn warns them of a vicious Elf Mage that was aiming to kill many creatures like snowdragons and others like the Gryphons, wyverns and other magical creatures.

Following this story you realize that it also holds the truth in how families pass thier learning and religion to thier children.  In this story a gryphon cub is coming of age and decided to exact vengence on the Elf mage that has been wreaking havoc around his land. He seeks to take revenge because the mage kills his cousin.  Thru the story the humans and gryphons form a bond to work together and find that the power of thier Ellulianaen is strong to hide thier thoughts and to protect them when the least expect it.

After reading this book, I can not wait to read the rest of them. The tale spun is made to keep you attached and want to continue to read. You can find this book for sale HERE
There are 2 other books to this series.
Gryphon of the hidden realm and Talon of Destiny.

You can purchase them from the links above. If you love Sci fi and fantastic journeys you wont want to miss out! You might want to take a look at how to pronounce the names a bit in the back but aside from that Robert spins a tale that keeps you wanting to read more and more!

Definately 5/5 and can't wait to read the rest of these books and anything else he has written as I really enjoyed this story!

Book Review - Hidden Under Her Heart

Hidden Under Her Heart
Purchase here

By Rachelle Ayala
Follow her on:

Hidden Under Her Heart is book 2 in the Chance for Love series. It is a story about a nurse who works in an allergy clinic that wants love, she wants life, and she wants a real relationship with trust and honor. Being that she hasn't truly had that in her life she has a hard time trusting. Her name is Maryanne and her life is about to change all because of one man named Lucas that needs allergy shots.

He comes in and she takes care of him thinking that he is like most men flirting to just do it and not having a real reason behind it she ignores his advances, flowers, and chocolates, and notes. He continues and finds that she and her friend have a bet going that whoever finds a man to be with with a marriage proposal and ring and set date to be married without having sex would pay for the other to have a spa weekend. Such a challenge.

As time goes by and tragedy strikes, Maryanne has to decide what to do with her life, and if she can be with Lucus, should she keep things to herself or be open? When a party at the Pastors house turns into Maryanne being raped and Lucas being blamed she has to decide whether to keep the baby or abort, but to clear Lucas' name the DNA is the only way to prove what has happened. I won't spoil the book for you. It is a total must read!
I rate it 5/5 Total must read and I have got to get the other books!

This story shows lots of emotions with adoption, abortion, pro choice and pro life sides. I like that a lot because it brings in to life how a woman thinks when in these situations but doesn't cram one way of thinking or another on you but shows a great way to explain it on both sides of the spectrum. I like that its not good girl meets bad boy that you get with most romance novels. The story is addictive. I can not wait to read the others in this series!
She wears her emotions on her sleeve but still holds back how she truely feels for Lucas. With friends by her side she begins to learn the real emotional attachment and love Lucas feels for her.

This story has lots of emotional ups and downs. Its a great read and once you begin you will be sucked into the storyline and not want to come up for air!

Divas Never Flinch Book Review

Divas Never Flinch is a book that by the cover first leads you to think it could be about mob ladies or the 20-30 yr old age bracket. The cover draws you into the story.  It does start slowly but after a while the story picks up.  Connye and Sonora are always competing throughout the story. Each time one upping the next and doing this is a manner so that it seems in good nature when in reality they are jealous of each other.

Oh the scandelous tales they tell. LOL. It is a bit hard to follow at first because of the many characters that are brought at the beginning. And where you think these 2 divas will never learn here comes Amanda to stir the pot even more.  I do not want to ruin the story for you readers. But you should read this if you love to read about ladies in society, tea parties and proper ladies doing things that on the surface look pristine but underneath they are as silly and backbiting as any ladies that have the belief they have to be better then the others.  Money is no object when it comes to parties and dances.

So join the fun and get ready to read about the silly spats they get into and how even ladies that are rivals can get along over time!

I give this book 5/5.

Book Review - Emotional Assault - Recognizing the Abusive Partners Bag of Tricks

By Lisa Kroulik
Purchase HERE

Follow Lisa on Twitter

This book hits home not just for me but with many individuals. Ladies and Men alike!

Emotional Assault explains the different tactics that individuals use to control the other person in the relationship. What steps they would take to control the other and how to manipulate them while making others think everything is hunkey dory.  I know weird choice of words but so very true.

While reading this book I came across scenarios that I have also been a part of on both ends of the scale, from emotional abuse that was very verbal, to physical as well.  One can't stop people from viewing physical abuse but mental emotional abuse might not leave a physical scar but can definately leave invisible ones like gaping wounds that one never heals from.

As someone that has been thru this at times the person on the recieving end is blind to what the abuser is doing to them. They think this is normal and nothing is wrong and refuse to believe that things need to change. Eventually they come to a breaking point. That breaking point opens floodgates as emotions rip apart and after that the whole scene comes so much clearer.

Why is this the case?  The abusee finally comes to the conclusion that this isn't right, that they shouldn't have to deal with this, and that its not love that causes the abuser to treat them as such. They finally start to get a fresh perspective and want to have a good change for themselves.

So how does this pertain to the book?  Well in the book the different tactics are outlined with clear examples from the authors own life to explain how her ex husband used these tactics during and after her relationship with him ended. She also writes about what her ex husband and his mother do to her even though she is remarried and her children are well cared for.

If you are looking for an emotional ride and a full reality check with what REALLY happens in a a emotionally abusive relationship, this is the book for you.  Emotional Assault will prepare anyone that is in denile about what they are dealing with in their relationships with a way to identify and actually see what is going on and how to change it and not feel guilty. It clearly outlines what one can do to not blame oneself for the relationship issues.

I rate this book 5/5.  It is very good, very informative and down to earth.  I praise this author for speaking up about her experiences and helping others know when Enough is Enough and it is time to break it off and move on.

Brava! I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Now On to the review!!!!

In a world where society is technologically advanced, we worry more and more about our privacy. A bomber in his effort to terrorise the nations sets off a huge chain of events.  It brings up the ideas of what kind of security measures could we come up with to prevent this from happening again. This technothriller pushes the limits in ways most of us would not even imagine.  How would you feel if suddenly our whereabouts were no longer a secret. How would someone track us?

This book offers lots of ideas and I am sure some of them are not far off from our future.  This book weaves a tale of a woman named Rosa that works in an airport and unknowingly uncovers information that begins to change her life.

I don't want to ruin this book for you. You literally have to read it and make sure you read it carefully.  There is suspence, at times you might be slightly confused. I was but that was cleared up as I kept reading.

TMI or Thermo- Magnetic Imaging is the new future technology in this book that is aimed at preventing terrorist attacks.  It is meant to prevent potentially sick individuals from infecting others as well as checking for weapons, drugs and other bad items that people could potentially be carrying.

Sounds wonderful right?  What if this TMI did exactly what the acronym suggests and collects way too much information? How would you feel then?  This book explores the possibilities on what the government could cook up to save us for terrorists, or on the flip side possibly control our every move?

Have I gotten your attention yet?

Rosa seems to be targeted to be fired at her job and in that respect gets an attourney to dig deeper. During the course of this book they go on a mis-adventure into digging into security files and so much more to prove her job was doing more then meets the eye. How much can one woman take?  They go thru hoops trying to gather more and more information before the company can crank down on them. But its too late they have the information to track her attourney.  As you see them wheel and deal to get back to the court they have to use friends and possibly adversaries to get the information into the right hands.

Who will win out in the end? The worker or the company? Will Rosa get her job back or will the company go thru great lenghts to keep her and her friends mouths shut forever?

If you want to know. Purchase the book!!!

I rate it 5/5.

Can't wait for more from you sir!
