Hi Everyone. I wanted to tell you about a online service I have used many times that is absolutely amazing.
Vistaprint.com is a service that allows you to use default images or your own to turn into may items such as car magnets, business cards, t-shirts, mugs, bags, mousepads, and so much more.  I have used their Magnets and business cards for several years. As you can see being that these are both 2 yrs old they are in excellent condition. I also have a T-shirt with my logo and some pens I had ordered as well as stampers for mailing out packages, all still fully functional after 2 years!!!

The quality is awesome and they offer some free items as well so you can try it out and see what you think. Shipping is very reasonable as well and I have never had anything arrive damged. I also designed my own window clings for my car as well.  IF you have a home business this is a great place to get supplies at an affordable rate and be able to fit them to your needs.

LEAPPAD 2

My 6 year old daughter got a Leappad2 for Christmas last year and she loves it. She loves the games, the pics, the videos, and she likes to draw on it. She can take pics and I can upload it to the computer. She loves the games and lil videos and books she can get on it as well.  It keeps her entertained for hours and my 2 year old plays with her on it.

For me as a Mom I enjoy being able to follow her progress online when I Sync her leappad2 to my computer. It tells me how shes doing, I can see her images, and I can see if she needs more items in each category like social studies, reading or math.  Its a fun way for your kids to learn.

It does hold up pretty well also.  My daughters did manage to break the leappad 2 and I contacted support and they had me deface it and send them an image proving it was broken and then they mailed me a brand new one!

So that gives me a huge reason to give them a 5 star rating!!! Good for moms, great for kids and its not only educational its also fun!

Another update about Mom

She is now in ICU. Things are just up in the air, she cant swallow, or eat today, and she still can't talk. I know the news is depressing but I am trying hard to deal with everything that is being thrown at me and try to get my thoughts together. its not easy.

Long 2 Weeks

Two weeks ago today my mother was admitted to the hospital with an infection in her ankle that I was told was a pressure ulcer. I found out yesterday that it wasnt a pressure ulcer at all and that on May 31st she hit her ankle on her wheelchair and had a skinbreak that didnt heal and that is how this mess on her foot started. It got worse and worse til the nurse on weekends finally got them to let her go to ER.  Since being in the hospital we found she needed 2 surgeries, she was very weak and the first one was to tget the infection under control. That ended in an ankle amputation.  After 4 days and getting her stable they went in and finished the surgery and amputated the rest of her leg above her knee, looks to be about mid hip.  She was out of it for 4 days, wouldnt eat, or wake, and yesterday finally woke up after they gave her a feeding tube and got half a container of pureed food in her stomach. Now that she is awake shes unable to talk, but she is communicating with head shakes and nods. I noticed her eyes arent dialating and shes droopy on the right side. They said its possible she had another mild stroke. No one knew because shes been so out of it. But the drs and hopsitalists are checking her out even more. I am trying to stay positive but I have to face the reality that I dont know whats going to happen in the next few weeks with her and if shes really going to be OK or not.  But that is why its been quiet on the blog, between hospital runs, jewelry design, kids, calls from drs, and finishing computers that are needing repair, its been super crazy around here. Usertesting

I became interested in web site rating and info. I love checking them out and giving my opinion on them. I have been able to do just that and get paid for it as well.  UserTesting.com is amazing, you do have to take a test in order to be a tester. If you pass then you can get different tests to do on a daily or weekly basis.  They pay you thru paypal.  I really like these because they take very little time and I get to speak what I feel about the sites.  Its nice to get paid a decent amount for your opinon and not have to click tons of survey responses.  Something to think about if you like to be paid for speaking your mind :)

I do not get compensation for telling you about this site, I just really like it and its good for making extra money. Also FYI- when they mail you a test, you need to jump on it pretty fast, they dissapear quickly :)

Personal Issues

I haven't posted in a week or so because my mother has been in the hospital fighting a very bad infection that resulted in 2 surgeries to remove her right leg above the knee. Its been very stressful, and I am just now getting back to working. I have a few computers to finish and have been making new Jewelry. So Please check back on my Jewelry page to see some of the new pieces I completed this week.  Mom is fine but still recovering and it will be a long next several weeks while she gets stronger.
